Today, I tried on a new dress that I had bought with so much excitement. It seemed perfect: the color, the style, the fabric—everything I love. But when I looked at myself in the mirror, something clicked. It just didn’t feel right. And it wasn’t even about the size or the fit—it was about how I felt in it.
I can’t explain why, but I just started crying. It seems like such a small thing, but that dress suddenly became a symbol of all my insecurities. We girls have such strange reactions to the most unexpected things sometimes. Maybe it’s just built-up exhaustion or some invisible weight I’ve been carrying.
I know it’s just a dress, and tomorrow I’ll probably forget all about it. But today, that dress meant something more.
