I understand there are a lot of mixed feelings about it. Happy, difficult, melancholic. Relatives you'd rather not spend time with, social pressure, boring work events, the crowd and the cold, etc. For me, it's never been a joyful time of the year, but it's gotten better with realizing it's totally fine to spend it the way I want, and do what makes me happy. No right or wrong.
Personally I'll spend time with chosen family, at friend's dinners and online. I'll visit my sister for NYE but I wanted to say that if you wanna chat during these times, I am here for you 💙
