She was my cell mate actually and when we were in together the prison was operating under their Covid regime - they still are actually. It meant we were locked up in our cell for 23 hours a day. Safe to say me and my pad mate got to know each other very well! We saw the best and the worst of each other, I can't explain the bond, it's stronger than steel. Even though prison was one of the worst times of my life I'm glad I met this girl and I'm glad I started the new year with her too. Prison gave me a friend for life, and anger too! Haha. My basic resolutions for 2023, specifically January, is to take better care of myself. Lay off the substances, eat better and get outside more. For the rest of the year I want to become more reflective and even more active with my politics. I want to connect more with my body, explore other types of therapy, gain new skills and create memories I'm proud of. What do I want to look like in 12 months? How do I want to feel? What do I want to have accomplished? What about you?
