Hey guys, does anyone here have BED (Binge Eating Disorder)? Or maybe someone among your friends or family does?
I'm actively (REGULARLY) working on overcoming it, but the fight is really challenging for me 🥺
One big accomplishment is that I've stopped overeating and eating ahead! ^^
I've also overcome the fear of running out of food or not having enough. I consider these steps to be huge, to be honest! :3
In the past, when leaving restaurants, I couldn't leave any food behind - I'd finish everything, even if it wasn't mine. Physically, it hurt me to see plates with food left 😞
If I bought any kind of food, I used to hide it, even though I'm not a greedy person by nature. :D
I also often suffered from the fact that, even if something was expired... well, let's just say I think you understand that it didn't go in the trash :D
Oh, I have so many stories where I knowingly ate something that didn't suit me just because it tasted good, and I couldn't stop. Oh, my goodness. It's funny and sad from the outside 🥹
When any reward is food, when all your thoughts revolve around food... Every morning, I would wake up thinking "Ooo, I'm going to have such a delicious breakfast!"
I never understood when I visited friends, HOW they had sweets/chocolate/snacks just lying on the table, HOW did they manage to not eat it all?.. In short, it's been with me my whole life. And now, I can see the difference, that I'm not as dependent 🥳
I absolutely LOVE food, and I think it's JUST GREAT that for $2 you can buy something tasty and instantly lift your spirits. But only for a couple of minutes, because then comes the self-reproach for eating the wrong thing again :<

You know, I have these BIG bags, and I physically can't carry them, even if I try to take one in my teeth and carry another on my head 😂
So, I always call a taxi to take me to the photo studio. Without it, I'm stuck 😬 I genuinely get happy when taxi drivers, seeing AAAALL this luggage, pull up closer to help me. Some even help me unload everything, bringing it to the door. I'm just thrilled by it 🥰 they're really not obligated to do so, but I genuinely appreciate it!
Unfortunately, more often these days, I try to travel with headphones on, as there was an incident the other day that really scared me 😬😬😬
In short, I called a taxi, a woman arrived, and we started chatting. She was so sincere, lively, and in passing, she mentioned her father and how sad things were. So, I asked her what's wrong with him. Suddenly, she burst into tears and said that he needed medication, but she couldn't afford it, so she was cutting costs wherever she could. It was SO bitter and painful 😭 I felt it physically! Imagine that - your closest family member fighting for their life, and you're doing everything you can 🥺
At the end of the ride, I of course asked for her phone number to send her a tip, but I wanted to do it off the app to avoid the commission. I transferred quite a big amount, more then my mom's monthly salary and unfortunately, this played a cruel trick on me 🥺
The next day, I needed to visit my parents again, so I called a taxi. The driver who came started bombarding me with questions: my job, my income, my age, where I live, who I live with, you name it. Then he started talking about himself, saying that his son is sick, and he's working as a taxi driver even though he studied to be a doctor in Turkey. "A doctor driving a taxi?..." - please, understand me right .. it's an incredible profession, extremely difficult, and I couldn't wrap my head around why he gave it up 🙄
